Last Chance Harvey (2008, PG-13)

I enjoyed the performances of Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson in this unconventional romance movie. In addition to their story, which is touching, sad, funny, real, and charming, there is a moment of healing and redemption for Harvey in his relationship with his daughter. A good film.

I saw this movie years ago and thought it an interesting, charming, romantic story about two working class individuals in the South of France. I have looked and looked for it and am so glad to have located it again for another look.

This movie was an unexpected surprise. Yes, Jean-Claude Van Damme! Great film. Interesting story. A little bit non-linear like "Run, Lola, Run." Impressive story-telling.
